Housed in a former antique auto museum, we like to think we're making the previous owner's proud. While the cars that previously filled our 6,000 square foot shop represented some of the greatest achievements of the world's automotive minds past and present, the work we do today ensures our friends, family and neighbors can depend on their vehicles for getting them to work, school or the airport in time for a holiday flight. The team at Galveston Automotive Professionals is made up of a friendly, tight-knit group of professionals who love what they do. Team members include:
John: The owner of G.A.P and a professional automotive technician with a passion for mechanical work
Gerald: Our Head Service Writer who offers a calm voice and honest explanation about mechanical issues
Jesus: Our ASE-certified Master Technician who takes pride in accurately diagnosing and repairing vehicles
Lynn: Our Business Manager who keeps the office running smoothly and handles bookkeeping and labor relations within the company
Andy: Our youngest team member and Junior Technician who handles many of our routine maintenance services
Mike: Our "Jack of All Trades" person at G.A.P who also keeps the shop spotlessly clean.
John Eanes started G.A.P. as a one-man business in a small area behind an automotive parts business because he loved working on cars.
Today, after over 30 years in the automotive service industry, he still loves working on cars and is proud to be the power source behind Galveston Automotive Professionals.
John's wife, Lynn, joined the team as its business manager in 2018, using her financial and customer service experience to help ensure a positive experience for both customers and employees at G.A.P.
John is the owner of G.A.P., and he loves working on cars. Being a mechanic is the only career he has ever had or wanted. Now with 30 over years of experience, he’s proud to run the premier automotive repair shop in Galveston, where his family has lived for four generations. John values all of his customers and takes the extra step to ensure every person who brings a vehicle to G.A.P. has a pleasurable experience because he understands when your car breaks down your anxiety level goes up. Experience, honesty, and commitment to customer service are what make John unique among auto repair shop owners. Gerald is the head service writer at G.A.P., which means he will usually be the first voice you hear on the phone and the first face you see when you bring in your car. He has worked in the automotive industry for over 18 years, and will help you understand what is wrong with your car and present the best repair options to you. He knows how unfamiliar many people are with how their cars work, so he takes the time to discuss with you the repairs and the cost involved to correct the problems. His quiet, southern demeanor will put you at ease as he explains the repairs needed for your vehicle. He is truly one of the best reasons to bring your car to G.A.P.
Meet James, the newest Technician to the Galveston Automotive Professional team. James has more than 15 years of experience in the automotive industry. He started out as a Tire Tech and through education and work experience has become a Lead Technician. He has great testing and diagnostic skills and works on all makes and models of vehicles in our shop. James can tackle the simplest of jobs like changing your oil, or he can handle the most complex ones such as replacing your engine. James is always dedicated to repairing your vehicle correctly the first time and has great attention to detail. His experience and expertise are a huge addition to the G.A.P. team.
Ed is the newest member of the G.A.P. team and most likely the first person who will greet you upon your arrival at our shop. He’s a super friendly guy that will make you feel welcome as soon as you come into the shop. Ed will assist you in checking in, take your vehicle’s history and speak with you about any problems you are currently having with your car or truck. He has many years of experience in the automotive industry, and he works closely with Gerald, our Service Advisor and will make sure that all your concerns are addressed. He will update you, either by text message or phone call, on the progress of your repairs so you know when everything is completed. Ed is here to assist you in every way that makes your visit to Galveston Automotive Professionals a 5-star experience.
